Since its inception in 2006 the Central West LHIN has created several Core Action Groups. These groups, made up of health care professionals, health service providers and LHIN representatives, take an active role in leading health system planning and development in their specialized areas. The Central West LHIN is committed to developing community based primary care health services. This was identified as a priority in both our Health Systems Plan and second Integrated Health Service Plan, and is a focus for us in the ongoing development of local health care. To continue building on this process the Central West LHIN has established the Bolton and Area Community Health Work Group and the Shelburne Community Health Task Force.
