About the Central West LHIN
The Central West LHIN was designated by the Ministry of Health & Long-Term Care to plan, integrate and fund local health services. We fund 49 health service providers in central west Ontario including a community care access centre, 2 community health centres, 13 community support services, 2 hospitals (four sites), 23 long-term care homes, and 8 mental health and addiction agencies.
The most important aspect of what we do involves working with you – with community residents and health service providers to ensure that our health care plans for central west Ontario make the best use of available resources and meet the needs of the communities served. Our plans over the next three years are guided by a 3-Year Integrated Health Service Plan that outlines our priorities and the action steps we will take to ensure timely and equitable access to health care services in our communities.
