Integrated Health Service Plan 2006 - 2009
The Central West LHIN’s first 3-Year Integrated Health Service Plan (IHSP) It’s about you and your health!, was developed on the basis that the people who best understand what and how health services should be delivered in the region are those who rely upon and use those services. Invested in this Plan is the valued dialogue we exchanged with members of the public, health service providers, volunteers, client and family groups. Your frank and insightful feedback was the inspiration behind the development of our first IHSP.
This is a document that reflects the hopes and dreams of consumers and health service providers alike to realize the Central West LHIN’s vision of creating ‘a local health system that helps people stay healthy, delivers good care when they need it, and will be there for their children and grandchildren’.
The IHSP reflects the key principles of equitable access; patient/client choice; people-centred, community-focused care; measurable, results-driven outcomes; and shared accountability.
The Central West LHIN’s first Integrated Health Service Plan (IHSP), lays the foundation for health system transformation in central west Ontario over the next three years. It sets out what our local health care priorities are, how we came to identify these priorities, and what action steps we will take to address them.
